Nor Cal Rural Therapy is seeking associate therapists interested in providing identity affirming trauma therapy and/or relational therapy, for queer, trans, non-binary, and neurodivergent Californians.

At Nor Cal Rural therapy, we provide trauma-focused and neurodivergence-informed therapy (and supervision) using a collaborative lens informed by:
EMDR (including Flash Technique)

Our goal is to support associate therapists in developing their skills with over-sight and support so that once licensed you can take your clients with you. Through clinical supervision and mentoring, you’ll develop skills for:
Managing your own private practice
Teamwork
Self-discovery
Clinical growth

We want to help you build a sustainable practice.
Associate therapists are expected to schedule a minimum 5-10 client hours per week. Scheduling is flexible and determined by you.
Supervision support will be given to teach you how to find referrals and attract clients, negotiate fees on a sliding scale, and maintain sustainable professional boundaries around scheduling and fees.

Associate positions average $75 per clinical hour + paid admin time at $20 per hour, 401k plan offered after probation period has concluded.

Assess and treat a full range of mental health issues in adults in a private practice, outpatient, telehealth setting.
Provide services within the highest standard of professional ethics and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and ability diversity. Must be LGBTQIA affirming, neurodivergence-affirming, practice through the lens of Anti-Racism, and receptive to training and consultation in these areas.
Routine completion of required clinical documentation, collecting payment, administrative documentation, and scheduling clients.
Regular weekly participation in supervision/consultation.

Master’s or degree
Registered Associate Clinician in the state of California
1+ years of direct client care preferred
Adherence to standards of service operations, documentation, and confidentiality at all times
Have excellent interpersonal skills and organizational/time management skills
Preference will be given to applicants with lived experience in some of the communities we serve or informed and active allyship of marginalized communitiesItem description
