Difficult Moods and Emotions

Sometimes it feels like our emotions have taken over. We can help you learn skills to manage difficult emotions and reduce patterns of depression, anxiety, and mania that get in the way of living your best life.

Exploring Neurodivergence

Whether you’re wondering about autism or ADHD or you already identify as neurodivergent, we can help you explore how your nervous system works and find ways to heal and thrive in the neurotypical world through individual therapy or formal assessment.

Trauma and Attachment Wounds

When difficult experiences from the past interfere with your present, we can help you learn to feel safe in your body, put the past in the past, and retell your story from an empowered perspective.

Coping with Oppression

As an artist, activist, or helping professional, you know what it’s like to struggle within systematic oppression. We can’t change the systems in therapy, but we CAN learn ways to cope that provide a foundation for the change work we do in the world.

  • Gender Affirming Letters

As a Gender Affirming Letter Access Project (GALAP) Pledge signers, we offer free and low-cost letters required by insurers for gender-affirming medical gender treatments and procedures. Our aim with these letters is to advocate for your body autonomy by stating that you have a diagnosis of gender dysphoria and are capable of informed consent. It is best if you already have researched the risks and benefits of the treatment or procedures you are seeking prior your appointment. For adults, we offer free letters after a single interview that usually takes 30-45 minutes. Schedule your Gender-Affirming Medical Care Letter appointment through our client portal or contact us if you have further questions. If you are located outside of California, consult the Directory of GALAP Pledge signers.

    Neuro-Affirming Assessments

We offer diagnostic consultation and assessment for adults curious about whether Autism or ADHD may explain their experience. We strive to affirm your experience and strengths so you can approach challenging situations with self-compassion, reduce your experience of burnout, and develop systems of support that address your unique needs.

Some people may also find this useful for supporting self-advocacy including: a confirmation of your self-identification for skeptical loved-ones, documentation of disability accommodations needed for work, college, or university*, or documentation of diagnosis for medical providers*.

Please note: We do NOT offer neuropsychological testing*. For that reason, this is NOT the right service for you if you need documentation in order to receive state or federal disability benefits, documentation for professional exam accommodations, or regional center services. We will discuss your reasons for seeking diagnosis at your free consultation and offer referrals to another provider if we cannot provide the services you need.

*Neuropsychological testing is required by some institutions. Please see our blog article if you are curious to learn more about the scope of our diagnostic services.
